For FloH, this city was already familiar, but for me it was new. With our 24-hour ticket for all modes of transport in Switzerland, we explored Zurich from Uster.

We started all our explorations to Zurich from Uster, as I (Anne) have an old school friend here who kindly offered us accommodation. Uster is a small place, not far from Zurich - easily reachable by S-Bahn in 15 minutes - and yet very rural. There is a small center with various shops where we bought delicious breakfast pastries. Otherwise, in Uster, we took a long walk to Greifensee, from where we had a wonderful view of the snow-capped mountains on the horizon.
