Day 9 From La Verna to Caprese Michelangelo

The night in the monastery was not so restful. It was probably not because of the dormitory, which was completely silent, but both Nobby and I slept extremely badly.

But the sunrise made up for it. Seeing the monastery in the morning sun was a special experience.

After breakfast in the cellar vault, we headed towards Caprese. The route took us through a beautiful landscape. On the advice of a farmer, we changed our route slightly so that we were spared a second mountain.

We arrived in the village of Caprese, the birthplace of Michelangelo, well ahead of schedule. As there was still enough time before dinner, we were able to use the afternoon to visit the castle and Michelangelo's birthplace.
