The night at Rondo Motel was unfortunately quite restless. The bed is pretty worn out and a bit small, but the weather looked promising today. Not necessarily sunny, but at least dry. So, our planned visit to Emerald Lake was not hindered.
On the way to the lake, we also got to see the so-called Natural Bridge. Here, the Kicking Horse River has eroded the rocks in such a way that they formed a natural bridge over the river. It was still early, so there weren't many people here yet. We could stay here for a while, explore the area around the river, and take some beautiful photos. The landscape with the river, the forest, and the mountains behind it was absolutely stunning! The color of the rivers here is always this wonderful blue. That's because most rivers and lakes here are fed by glacial water, which gives them this beautiful color. By the way, the water is just as cold as it looks!
So, enough raving about the wonderful rivers here. We continued to Emerald Lake.
