Today was all about enjoying… inhaling the scent, the landscape, the atmosphere, and preserving it for eternity in our memories. We relaxed a bit in the morning and enjoyed a few errands in the afternoon, as well as a wonderful dinner in Franschhoek.

When we were welcomed at the airport about 14 days ago by the lovely Florence, she already told us that we would hardly notice that we are not in Germany. What she meant was that there are so many Germans (tourists, expatriates 🤷🏼‍♀️) here. I believe they are all gathered in Franschhoek. Even the manager at the Lavender Farm is an expatriate from Germany. Crazy!

Tomorrow morning we’ll head to the airport in Cape Town with the rental car, and we will see each other again soon in Germany.
