Barryland and Martigny

Everything always seems so easy and well thought out in the planning stages. In reality, it’s Friday afternoon - everyone is tired and close to losing their minds 😝. Why do I put myself through this?!?!?!
Taking the train to Bern, orientation isn’t really my thing, so I circle around the station once, experiencing a meltdown from the big girls. To calm down, I quickly duck into the nearest bakery for a soothing dose of sugar, then pick up my disoriented father Alessandro and head to Gruyère. We take a break with the colorful cows, which includes some fun and shopping. Then on to Martigny - just like some other cars 😅. There awaits the youth hostel, and not a 5-star hotel. So first, let’s make the beds. Some kids still have room for improvement 🤣. Packing mishaps lead to tears (those who rush packing forget one thing or another), and packing novices spill their brush. Finally, some tasty tapas and a beer to calm the nerves.
