From Grenoble to Aix-les-Bains
- starting with the idea of easy, quick 70km along the valley for the day, I had a surprisingly hard time with headwind and low energy levels (and/or much more: low air pressure in my tyres but I only noticed that way later...)- still managed to arrive rather early to Aix-les-Bains and to enjoy an afternoon with swimming and relaxing in the super blue lake surrounded by mountains
- in the evening I went to a friend's place, that I got to know in Valencia, and was warmly welcomed by her and her family; staying in a comfy bed, freshly showered, at a house with beautiful mountain views and with the loveliest hosts and a person that kind of shared the same aboard experience: Priceless!

What I learned today:
- cycling with a 'just arriving' mindset is by far not as enjoyable as an 'exploring' one, at least not on a low energy day...
- the lake 'Lac du Bourget', where Aix-les-Bains is situated, is the biggest in France 🤓
- the 15th August is quite a big holiday in France, even celebrated with fireworks
- because of the drought, watering your garden or washing your car is currently prohibited in the area
