Today, we want to use the bus to visit Little India and Chinatown. It seems we didn't understand the price correctly because we have to pay 50 dollars. But we can drive around well for that. Little India has an Indian vibe. Everything is absolutely clean in downtown Singapore. Nothing is lying around and people take everything back with them after their picnic!! Here in Little India, we see almost typical Indian corners and it smells like India. And I'm buying a white shawl for a reasonable price because I forgot mine at home!
We continue on the bus in a big loop towards the Botanic Gardens and then to Chinatown. Since we just miss a bus, we can visit the venerable Raffles Hotel and see photos of what it looked like there in 1900. Very impressive.
Then we go into Chinatown. Everything is decorated because the Chinese New Year is approaching. Unfortunately, we're not hungry for glazed duck or anything yet! We stroll around, visit places, and let ourselves drift.
On the way back, we have dinner at a typical "hawker", the food court in the basement of a mall.
Then it's time to return to the hotel because we want to take a shower again before our departure, in the sauna area. That works well again, and when we're done, our shuttle is already here!
