Another item on our Erasmus trip was the visit to the Odunpazarı 2 Nolu Sağlıklı Hayat Merkezi (Health Center). There, we gained insights into healthcare for refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals with international or temporary protection status.
The center is part of the SIHHAT project, which is supported by the Turkish Ministry of Health in collaboration with the European Union. The goal of the project is to improve access to health services for migrants and support their integration into the healthcare system.
Services offered include general medical examinations, vaccinations for children and adults, care for pregnant women and mothers, regular check-ups for children, blood tests and laboratory investigations, as well as cancer screening programs. Additionally, health education, health literacy training, and mobile health services are provided.
At the end, we received our participation certificates from the deputy governor.
Thank you for this wonderful trip and the special impressions!
