Reaklif Uitkijkpost is located near Skarl, directly on the IJsselmeer. The last remains of a moraine from the Ice Age can be found here. A battle also took place here in 1345 between William IV and the Frisians. The Frisians won and were still able to defend their freedom.
Warkum is a small town with around 4,500 inhabitants. A tranquil town center with old houses, picturesque canals and a beautiful sandy beach.
