After some phone calls with Liz, we decided to meet again in Indonesia and I flew from Singapore to Bali. Originally, I planned to go to a smaller island (Nusa Penida) the next day, but ended up staying a week in Bali to wait for Liz. I spent my time reading, drawing, learning Indonesian, and with Jordan, whom I met on the first evening in Bali. We went to some beaches, played basketball, visited a temple complex with Monkeyforest, I tried the 'stinky fruit' durian, and he told me a lot about the country, traditions, and culture. Bali is very touristy but has a special flair due to the many Hindu temples and offerings. The scent of incense sticks hangs in the air and the locals look beautiful in their traditional clothing.
