So today once again swimming with sunrise and breakfast, then we return the car to EuRopcar. The handover goes smoothly and the shuttle bus takes us to the airport where we then get into a taxi to our new accommodation in Fort de France by the harbor. It is somewhat complicated, but the shuttle only goes to the airport. Occasionally, we have to take detours. Fortunately, we can check into the hotel at noon. In the hotel room, we finish off all the leftovers. Feeling refreshed, we look for the shortest way to the ferry that will take us to Guadeloupe tomorrow. We spend the rest of the afternoon at the nearby beach and are thrilled by the many small endangered Antillean iguanas that are bustling around us. Proud, impressive creatures. After dinner, we take a little walk through the city and along the beach. Now it’s time to pack up again. For the next trip, I plan to pack less - I hope I don’t forget it by then 😉.
