#6 Seal colony near Kaikōura

Today we stayed at our camping site at the beach during the forenoon and mingled with some Germans from Frankfurt and some Kiwis (people from New Zealand) from Kerikeri. Based on their recommendations we changed our plan to drive to the north island. Instead, we will explore the south island first to have moderate weather throughout the whole three months. Since the winter will be colder on the south island.

During noon, Dorian did some fishing at the beach where we saw our first dolphin.

In the afternoon we walked around the Kaikōura peninsula visiting the resident seal colonies.
