A bit more detailed: It is 20 km to Sevettijärvi. This is the center of the Skolt Sámi people, of which about 500 live in this area. After World War II, Finland had to cede territories to Russia and as a result, the Sámi people living there were relocated to the newly founded municipality of Sevettijärvi. From there, it is 88 km through uninhabited area, characterized by birch, pine, spruce, and many lakes. We enjoy the peace, the surroundings, and the steady pedaling. In the afternoon, we arrive in Kaamanen, where we have booked a cabin.
After the obligatory sauna, we go for dinner - sautéed reindeer or whitefish from Lake Inari?

Liest sich eure ersten Tage auf dem Rad. Wir durchwandern die pure Natur hier in Albanien. In den höheren Lagen liegt noch Schnee! Sind an unserem zweiten Tag nun glücklich angekommen - nach 8h wandern - und freuen uns nun auf das Nachtessen an der Wärme vor den Ofen. Ort: Lepushe in Kelmed-Tal
