Sweden Day 5 - Fishing in Laholm
Near Laholm, one should have great luck fishing for salmon, so Jesse and Mike tried their luck during the day. Gina and I went for a walk and soaked up the sun in the meantime...

From Laholm, we continued as a duo to Markaryd for the moose safari. We thought that if we didn't see a moose in the wild, at least we would see one here. The moose safari lasted almost an hour, and we didn't go in our own car but rode in a tractor with a trailer. The advantage of this is that we were allowed to feed the animals.
Since there were also bison in the park, and you could use your own car to stop anywhere you want and drive around as often as you like, we still felt it was too risky for our car or didn't want to take that chance.
In Markaryd, it wasn't that easy to find a battery charger. After we bought one and were on our way to the next campsite, we discovered Biltema... 50 cents for a hotdog? Wow, we definitely had to stop by here more often :-D.
Biltema is somehow a mix of Ikea, hardware store, and camping shop - hard to describe. However, it is worth mentioning that a battery charger would have only cost half as much... well, you can't know that in advance.
Our campsite was in Bräthult, where an older gentleman apparently bought an old sports field and remodeled it. There are spots with electricity, kitchen, toilet, and shower, as well as a sauna and a pond for swimming. There was also a fire pit where you could either gather wood yourself (for free) or conveniently buy a bag of wood there.
The campsite was simply beautiful, payment was made via an envelope, and it only cost us 15 € for both of us.
