Short trip to the Harz Mountains

We went on a short trip to the Harz Mountains. We stayed at the Torfhaus Harzresort and can definitely recommend it. Overall, we were really only away for 2 days.

You can also rent cabins around the hotel, but they were all fully booked at the time of our visit (the cabins have their own saunas and whirlpools). The hotel itself also has a sauna and a fitness area.

Just down the street is a nice restaurant where we had dinner. On the day of our arrival, we did a hike around the Oderteich and then enjoyed a nice meal at the nearby restaurant in the evening.

The next day we went for a hike around and visited the Harzturm, which was completely surrounded by fog, and then we headed back home (we live only 2.5 hours away).
