Dear Travel Diary
Long ago, I was asked if I was ready for the big adventure. Even back then, I answered the question 'No' without hesitation. That hasn't changed now, even though I'll be sitting in the airplane in less than 24 hours.
Due to the whole Corona situation, it has been quite difficult to prepare accordingly. All these regulations will probably change countless times before I finally set foot on the island. So I have no idea what safety measures are being taken in Hawaii, what the number of cases looks like, or what I can do there. I'll be surprised...
It's actually not like me, Diane, to dive into something without a plan, but what else could I do? After all the back and forth with changing the destination from Brisbane to Honolulu, switching organizations/schools, and the wrong visa, I am hopefully well-prepared for all eventualities ;).
So, it's almost time to go, whether I'm ready or not...
