Day 40 Georgia - Trip from Batumi to Kutaisi

Today we headed back inland to Kutaisi. The route itself is very pleasant, a bit of highway, a bit of country road, and a bit of village. Nice to look around... Especially the lush greenery, the many free-roaming cattle and pigs, and the beautiful yards with houses and vegetable gardens appealed to me.

In Kutaisi itself, we took a little stroll today, then drank homemade wine with our hosts Tamara and Georgi, and finally went out for dinner in the city.

In Kutaisi, the tire spikes that pierce the tires of wrong-way drivers were interesting. This is certainly very clear to those who misunderstand the signs...
