For the next almost two weeks, we will explore this idyllic region! Everywhere there are lush hills, misty forests, waterfalls, magnificent birds, tall palm trees, and small villages, colorful houses.
The residents in the area like to decorate their houses in bright colors: The facades are adorned with colorful wooden elements. Generous balconies and courtyards are filled with plants.
Another special feature: Instead of taxis, the region often has jeeps for trips to the surrounding areas, with enough space in the truck bed for 6 people!
Especially impressive is the nature during our hikes: The climate is so invigorating that everything here is lush and blooming. There are various plants that find the best spots on the trees and thrive in symbiosis.
We travel through Jardín, Manizales, Salento, and Filandia to the town of Salamina, which is still considered a hidden gem.
