Today we continued to Sarapiqui. This province is crossed by numerous rivers, which makes the land very fertile. Among other things, you can find cocoa, banana, and pineapple plantations here.
The highlight of today was the visit to Dave and Dave's Nature Park. This private reserve was bought and reforested by an American 30 years ago (previously a plantation). In the meantime, the site has become a popular retreat for numerous bird species (about 900 in Costa Rica). A hotspot for photographers, bird lovers, but also the BBC and National Geographic.
