Stage 2 - Colors, ferry and Sahara dust

Our second stage is significantly shorter than yesterday, almost half of yesterday. That was actually fine with us, because a large part of the fishing path leads along the beach or through sandy dunes and that is really strenuous. We feel our feet, calves and thighs...

We started the day very relaxed with a delicious breakfast in Vila Nova de Milfontes. We really liked the cute little town with its colorful shutters and many small shops.

We then set off with a small ferry towards the hiking trail, which was again very varied today. Unfortunately, the Saharan dust blocked out the sun and bathed everything in a diffuse light. As if all the colors in the world were washed out.

But it was pleasantly warm even without the sun and it felt great to be out and about in shorts and a T-shirt after the long winter.
