The first full day on board began at 8:00 AM with breakfast at the East Restaurant. However, the coffee machine apparently didn't want to start the day properly and decided to go on strike. Luckily, the waiter took care of it and seemed to make a small journey across the ship for my coffee. At least this provided the first little anecdote of the day. ☕😂
Afterward, I aimlessly drifted around the ship and explored life on board. My journey took me to the photoshoot at the bow before the Club@Sea event was scheduled at 11:00 AM.
Culinary delights were in store: delicious truffle pasta, Caesar salad, plenty of sparkling wine, and of course, the obligatory cake was not to be missed. A successful morning in good company!
After all that activity, it was time for a little break. I treated myself to a short nap before the sports continued at 2:00 PM – a bit of movement was in store with bocce.
At 3:00 PM, a fan meeting was on the agenda, which didn’t really excite me. Thankfully, the next activity was not long in coming: at 4:00 PM, we continued with shuffleboard. Thus, the afternoon passed with a colorful mix of sports, encounters, and entertainment.
In the early evening, at 6:00 PM, solo travelers gathered for a regulars' table. A nice opportunity to meet and chat with other fellow travelers. After that, it was time for Prime Time and the following show, neatly filling the evening program.
At 9:00 PM, I finally returned to my cabin. After a varied day filled with many events, it was time to put my feet up and let the impressions settle a bit. At 10:15 PM, it was lights out!
A relaxed first sea day filled with activities, culinary delights, and small encounters is behind me. Slowly, everyday life on board is returning – of course, in the most beautiful way one can imagine: without obligations and with plenty of time for oneself. 🌊❤️
