A new day, a new excursion.
Today we wanted to go to an observation point right around the corner from us. Quickly dressed and we were ready to set off. We didn't walk two streets further when suddenly we had the Canadian wilderness in front of our eyes. A young buck had strayed onto the road, although 'strayed' is the wrong word. He calmly walked across the street and wasn't bothered by paparazzi (Franzi, Doro) or the waiting cars. Definitely a laid-back guy.
We turned into the next street and saw the big water glistening in the sun. When we arrived at the observation point, it was beautiful. It resembled a small bay with large rocks and heavy bundles of seaweed. The many trees and small houses made it appear somewhat Scandinavian...no idea, but it was beautiful anyway. After taking enough pictures there and almost falling off the rocks, we set off for the next observation point one street over.
You think it can't get any better? But of course it can. This little spot was breathtaking. The view of the mountains in the opposite USA was a dream. But the highlight was a nice lady who was simply painting the surroundings on the rock, like in a studio. Was it a fever dream after all?
We spent a long time there and couldn't get enough of the view. But eventually we all got hungry. What can you do? So we walked back home and petted a cat on the way. It's like a reward.
When we got home, we had wraps and then the actual work began...job search. For hours we sat at our laptops and phones and applied everywhere, it felt like. Dishwasher, barista, window cleaner, sandwich artist, or manager. Our future was truly sealed. It was hilarious. Especially the entrance exams, which even demanded highly complex answers from the dishwasher, were divine. After a few hours, it got tedious and we called it a day for now. We've accomplished a lot.
The best thing about the whole day: I could cross out finances. There's no better feeling.
