Today I tested my new leg warmers, and they proved themselves on the sandy sections once again; nothing slips into my hiking shoes anymore.
The coast is breathtaking again, but also dangerous; I come across some signs of fatal accidents, like the bench as a reminder of such a tragedy.
And I discover a stork's nest on an offshore island again.
I have to be careful in the sand not to step on small beetles and to give way to the snakes and salamanders (unfortunately, they are - still - too fast for a photo).
The selfie stick is tried out once again.
In the sand, I also discover intricate artworks.
A stretch of beach all to myself - a dream.
At the cliffs, fishermen stand and try their luck.
When I go down the stairs, I have to swim across the river...🤔. No, then I'll just walk along the river.
Just before I reach my hostel, I pass through a very nice holiday complex with a pool.... cool.
But my hostel is also very nice. After a refreshing shower and a little siesta, Monika calls. She is visiting the 'Scherpenseelers'. It’s lovely to see Annabelle, Milan, Tobi, Claudia, and of course Monika and exchange a few words.
Now I’m heading back to the town. As far as agriculture is concerned, it seems like time has stood still....... it reminds me a bit of Peru.
My hostel is located in the historic city center; it looks nicer than the new part.
