Unfortunately, I have been unwell since last week. I never fully recovered, so I've been feeling really sick yesterday and today. I went to the pharmacy yesterday and bought some medicine. In moments like these, you really miss your mom's care the most :P Tomorrow, I have to go back to work, but thankfully it's only a 6-hour shift before I work 8-9 hours on the weekend. However, the days in bed weren't so bad because it was pouring rain anyway. And to top it off, we had water in the room because it's an old house. That's why I'm looking forward to the hotel stay in Brisbane even more. After two and a half months, I really deserve it :P
So, I thought I'd use the time to tell you some news...
Last Saturday, I finally went to the Eumundi Market, which I've wanted to go to for a long time and for good reason!
I took the public bus for about 30 minutes, which cost me about 12 dollars round trip. That's totally okay. Thinking back on it, I'm still very excited :) There was so much to explore and so many new ideas. I really enjoyed strolling through the market and browsing - totally my thing! And of course, I ended up buying a few things, as always! But not just for me, also for my loved ones back home :) And the selection of food was phenomenal - I had a real German bratwurst in the middle of Australia and the best chocolate brownie in a long time - YAY! So, I can only recommend the Eumundi Market to everyone! Thumbs up for Eumundi!
Last week, I also went to the Fairy Pools in the national park in Noosa. It was a unique experience and really great! However, the path there was a little challenging because I hate cliffs and had to climb down rocks. But I handled it well! And it was worth it!
On Monday, on my day off, I went back to Sunshine Beach and this time I did the coastal walk, 200 steps up in the air. Maybe it was too much for my body, but the view was breathtaking!
And it's just amazing to be alone on the beach, the beach is so big and there are so few people.
Last week, I also received some great news. I can do the Fraser Island tour for free as an intern, saving me 400 dollars. I was really excited, and so was my travel budget. I'm leaving next Friday until Monday - Yay, I'm exciting! And you can look forward to some great pictures!
And then it's only two more weeks of work and then the travel begins. Time flies so fast, I can't believe it!
But I'm so excited to see and experience more of this beautiful country!
This week, I also want to book my other trips. The planning is done, now I just need to go for it and book!
With this picture, I say goodbye to you (you can see my stuffy nose a little :P)
Hugs and I miss you! Lots of Love!
