Elk Search Norway Day 12

It took the travel reporters two weeks to figure out that a travel report can be presented differently. Today, we want to start with it😀.

After an exhausting outdoor shopping tour, we set off on our daily hike in the Bymarka Nature Reserve (right next to Trondheim).

This reserve is said to have moose, as announced on the poster.

So off we go, eyes wide open. As is common in every mountain area, you quickly get wet feet if no logs are set up as bridges.

At the Elgsethytta (here too, moose is part of the name), a typical Norwegian snack was prepared.

As announced, the weather worsened and the rain jackets had to be put on even before reaching Bosbergheia.

We were up here not only for the beautiful view but especially for the chance to spot moose. So we continued with our eyes peeled. This area would be perfect for an encounter.

But somehow, no moose wanted to make an appearance. Was it because of us?????

What we found were their tracks, even if they were surely a few hours old, as indicated by the pine needles in the track.

A slight disappointment set in that it remained just tracks. The search continues 🫎. It's only half-time.

The increasingly heavier rain, the long hike (5.5 hours), the growing hunger, and especially the exhausting morning led us to wrap up the day at a pizzeria (no desire to cook). It was really delicious.
