The little birds, the little birds from Lake Titicaca
From La Paz, the bus ride to Lake Titicaca took just three hours. And that's only because we had to cross on a ferry. Everyone had to get off the bus and be taken to the other...

From Lake Titicaca, we took a bus for about 12 hours across the border to Peru. Our destination was the beautiful city of Cusco. I was really scared of the journey because my stomach hadn't fully recovered from food poisoning. So I had to gather my strength and go through it. The journey was tiring but definitely worth it. Cusco is a cozy and beautiful city with a great atmosphere. There were many restaurants and small alleys with nice shops around the main square. In one alley, we even came across two women with a baby alpaca, and of course, I couldn't resist taking a photo. This city is definitely on my list of the most beautiful cities we visited on our trip.
The next day, we used for a little exploration and got information about our planned trip to Machu Picchu. Cusco is the best starting point for this tour. The planning turned out to be a bit more difficult than expected, as there were countless providers. We opted for a bus-train-bus option, which was not the easiest or cheapest, but definitely the most beautiful=) More on that in the next post!!
