In Litchfield National Park

The night was very peaceful: Pleasant temperature (even though it was 32 degrees during the day), comfortable roof box, and absolute quiet, despite a well-filled campsite.

Right after waking up, we go to the swimming pool at the foot of the Florence Falls. There was already a team of four here making recordings with a drone and professional camera equipment. We enjoy the refreshing bath and the tranquility. This place is the highlight of the park and is very popular. By the time we leave, the number of bathers has multiplied.

After a leisurely breakfast, we set off on foot to the Buley Rockhole. Along the way, we pass several beautiful swimming spots in Florence Creek. The rockhole itself is very nice, but it's quite lively here. One must not forget that this park is essentially the local recreation area of Darwin.

It's far too hectic for us, so we search for something quieter. Luckily, we come across a wonderfully lovely swimming spot. There, we can enjoy the beautiful view and refreshing water all by ourselves. It feels good, as the temperatures here climb above 30 degrees every day.

Next, we continue sightseeing at the Tolmer and Wangi Falls. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture the beauty and atmosphere of these places with the camera.

The plunge pool at the Wangi Falls is unfortunately closed due to saltwater crocodiles. When we settle in at the campsite, we are the first there. However, as the evening progresses, people from Darwin start arriving for the weekend.

In the dusk, we observe kangaroos and cockatoos at the campsite.
