We spend wonderful and beautiful days at the SA-RA thermal spa, a small spa with a significant impact. The thermal baths in the village of Hegykö are located in the Fertö Nature Reserve (Lake Neusiedl), 15 km southeast of Sopron and 14 km from the Austrian border. This thermal facility offers relaxation in indoor and outdoor pools, high-quality thermal water, as well as a sauna and a range of wellness and medical treatments. The healing water in Hegykö springs from a depth of 1434 meters at a temperature of 55°. With such beautiful weather, we decide to go on a bike tour. First, we need to exchange money, of course, at the bank. And there’s coffee too; cappuccino is always a good choice. Werner treats himself to a slice of Esterhazy cake. We continue to Esterhazy Castle... on the way, our guide Karl shows us the formerly typical longhouses. You go from one room to the next. The village is very clean, and each resident makes the best of their property. We reach Esterhazy Castle. It is grandly situated in the middle of the city with a fantastic rose garden, a huge park that has a lovely tea house hidden in it, and the massive castle. We stay for a while longer and enjoy the sun. On the way back, we visit a small Aunt Emma store where you can find everything, and a pharmacy. Now it's time to head home; Marianne and Hans are already excited; their motorhome is set to be stickered today, WFN stands for Wohnmobilfreunde Neuburg a.d. Donau, their club. After our visit to the thermal spa, we all go out to eat together, briefing included....
