Forggensee 2026 - Treats and Games

Vacation time for us always means cheat time and game time. While camping, we tend to cook a lot ourselves (as Swabians, we're too stingy to eat out all the time), but the nutritional balance of our meals could be better: sometimes we have homemade pancakes for breakfast, grilled cheese, burgers, and the like for lunch, and then homemade pizza for dinner. In between, we enjoy a cookie or two during midday card games, a sweet treat or two during coffee and cake time, and a chip or two during evening dice games. Not to mention the occasional non-sugar-free gin drinks and a beer or two.

The types of games can be divided into an era before and after the reunification (so before and after the two older ones were involved): before reunification, we mainly played Kniffel (almost 50 games), Binokel (about 30 games), 6 Nimmt (almost 10 games), and Rummy (about 20 games); after reunification, Uno and Skyo became more prevalent. Other games include: Ganz schön clever, Kuhhandel, Hitster, Wizard, Mäxle, Arschloch, Schlafmütze. Of course, the results of the most important games are noted down, documenting who really won and lost how many times. Currently, this still happens analogously in the 'Book of Wins and Losses', but I might let Claude do some cooking here after my vacation.
