Montezuma

Published: 05.03.2020

On Sunday, 01.03.2020, I started a new adventure. With a heavy heart, I left my host family in Samarร  ๐Ÿ’” and traveled to Montezuma as the first step.

Upon my arrival at Hotel Luna Llena, I explored the small village and relaxed on the beach. The hotel has such a cool location, with a view of the sea - highly recommended ๐Ÿ˜

On the first day, we visited the waterfalls. It was a great trip, but it was quite challenging. To see the second waterfall, we had to do some climbing. Of course, no one had the appropriate shoes, but our sneakers did a pretty good job ๐Ÿฅพ

In the late afternoon, it was time for the beach, well, we didn't have so much beach... The journey there took about an hour. It soon turned out that we didn't take the official path and had to climb over rocks (with flip-flops). So, it took us a little longer than an hour ๐Ÿ˜‚

When we arrived at the beach, the sun was already setting, but it was still beautiful. By the time we got back to the hotel, it was already dark, including a night walk ๐ŸŒ

We spent the second day comfortably at the hotel and the nearby beach ๐Ÿ๐Ÿน

On the third day, we visited Cabo Blanco National Park. The trip started at 8:15 am with a small shuttle. The 2-hour hike through the national park was worth it because a super beautiful beach awaited us ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

The hike was quite strenuous and led over roots, branches, and small streams. We saw monkeys, coatis, birds, and beautiful butterflies ๐Ÿฆ‹

It was a nice and cozy time in Montezuma. With sore muscles and about 20 mosquito bites, I am now continuing my journey to Brasilito.

Hasta pronto
