Beautiful weather, sunshine, perfect for being outside!
Actually, I would have gone skiing (alpine) with the school today, but we had to cancel it yesterday due to too few registrations.
Only a few minutes later, I was offered to accompany my sports group with the students who need more support.
This morning, we went to Norddalen again, but this time to a ski lodge to do some cross-country skiing. However, it was too icy, so I soon exchanged the skis for a sled and slid down the hills with some students. We weren't alone there, because the youth school (7th-10th grade) also had a ski day.
For lunch, we had hamburgers and sausages, and I let the Norwegians try out German dumplings, which they really liked and wanted more of. Unfortunately, it's not available in Norway :(
Just as I was returning my ski equipment to BUA (an organization where you can borrow recreational equipment for free and where the other volunteers here work), there was a big crowd because tomorrow is ski day for the children's school (1st-6th grade). So I got to help out there.
So the day ended with an active day, which was topped off by a visit from the volunteers from Askvoll.
Here are some impressions from Norddalen:
