Dunes of Maspalomas

Hello!
Today we ventured into the dunes of Maspalomas. The whole area is huge and very impressive. We took a two-hour walk through the dunes past the beach and the sea. The paths were well signposted and we encountered very few people. So we were able to enjoy the natural spectacle in peace and alone. After about 12,000 steps, we completed the circular route. At the end, our shoes were full of sand, but it was a unique experience. After the dunes, we visited the Maspalomas lighthouse. There we could admire some sand paintings along the beach promenade. They were very large and had some details. Since it was rainy and slightly cooler in our hometown today, it was the perfect trip to escape to the warmth!
