Day 5 - (Abu Dhabi) Saadiyat Beach Club

Highlights of the Day:

• Saadiyat Beach Club

It’s hot again today, and we’re treating ourselves to a chill day. After all, we’re on vacation.

We set off around 10 AM towards Saadiyat Island, where we plan to visit the Beach Club today. We’re already familiar with it from past vacations. The entrance fee isn’t exactly a bargain, but it’s still just a fraction compared to staying at a hotel on Saadiyat Beach!

The parking lot isn’t full, which is nice. We’re greeted warmly (as always) and find ourselves a sunbed by the pool with a view of the sea. This is how to enjoy life!

The staff is incredibly attentive. We receive a bucket of ice cubes for our water bottles. Oh great, because even though there’s shade and the pool is cool (yes – the pool is cooled!!!), I’m still feeling really hot, so the ice cubes will cool not only our water bottles.

We alternate between the pool and the sea. The sea is a dream! The white sand and the turquoise sea create a true Maldives vibe.

Around noon, we have lunch at the Beach Bar and find new sunbeds by the pool since the sun has completely taken over our shade. The DJ at the mixing desk is pumping up the small crowd by the pool – totally unnecessary, as the bass makes it impossible to have a conversation or read in peace. We escape to the sea. There’s a breeze in the afternoon, making the heat bearable, but the sea is quite rough. It doesn’t look like the Maldives anymore. Still incredibly beautiful, but the wind and tides bring seaweed to the shore.

But that doesn't bother us. After a short beach walk, we sit back at the Beach Bar and enjoy a sundowner. We leave the club around 6:30 PM. That was truly a relaxing, rejuvenating vacation day!

Let’s hope this beautiful Beach Club stays around for a long time – apparently, there are plans to
