Highlights of the Day:

• Sea World Abu Dhabi

Today is Family Time. We are heading to Sea World with our godsons and family. I was there last year, but my husband hasn't been yet.

Even on the second visit, the gigantic size of the building is impressive. Outside, my husband is already taking a look at the roller coaster. Today, he has excited ‘riders’ with the boys - I'm relieved 😅

We stroll through all the halls, ride the roller coaster together once, and then the boys ride it 4 more times with my husband. My cousin is just as relieved as I am that we are done after one ride 😅

We catch all the shows, explore all the ‘worlds’, freeze with the penguins, and sweat with the flamingos in the tropical hall.

The family leaves Sea World early in the afternoon as the boys have other appointments, while we leisurely stroll through the halls, watch the interactive show in the main hall, and realize that despite the size of Sea World, many tanks are surprisingly small....

For instance, the flamingos are in a tiny enclosure, the walrus has just as little space, and the dolphins - at first glance, the dolphinarium looks large, with several tanks, but only a few dolphins swim in the show room during the show - and the background noise from the restaurants, the many enclosures, aviaries.... mixed feelings...

The huge aquarium is designed like an underwater expedition - with tons of fish, sharks, and much more.

However, what we are missing is color: no corals, no plants - all the 'colorful' aspects come from painted rocks or objects. It's cool, but somehow the aquarium in Atlantis impressed us more.

In the late afternoon, we leave SeaWorld.

At home, there's a delicious dinner, an aperitif, and a playful puppy 🐶
