Hobbiton and Tree Path

Hobbiton is on! During breakfast, we had a surprise, the Austrian family had settled right next to us last night, we exchanged some information, and then we headed towards Hobbiton in dense fog.

As soon as we were on the way, the fog disappeared and we could enjoy the film set.

Together with 30 Asians, we were ushered into Hobbiton, a truly impressive collection of facades from the film trilogy. We also enjoyed the refreshments at the Green Dragon.

Then we continued on to Rotorua. First, we were allowed to visit the tree path in the Redwoods, and then we drove to Hollyday Park to spend the night. There we met the Austrians again. Somehow, New Zealand is not that big, Leo had a lot of fun with the boys, anyway.
