Departure is not necessarily exciting, but it wasn't dull either.
14:09, I took the train to Rostock and then rode another 10km with my Brompton from the main station to the ferry terminal. And yes, I got lost… I used Google Maps, and initially, I headed to the truck terminal. The 'gatekeeper' saw me coming and handed me a note with the correct way marked on it. It seems I wasn't the first to head there.
At the right spot, I bought a ticket and, thanks to the staff on-site, saved €20 😅. I should quickly buy the ticket through their website since it's cheaper; I ended up paying €39 instead of €59.99. Long live Apple Pay!
Then the ferry, spectacular... No, it was dark. It started at 22:30. As usual, I looked for a place to sleep on the ferry.
And I found my sleeping spot in the dog cabin. Initially, I tried to sleep on the seats, but later I settled into the pet basket. That worked, but I could only sleep somewhat.
Anyway, at 4:40, we were woken up, and we could dock in Ystad by 5:40.
