In the morning, there was still enough time for a short visit and a hearty breakfast, as only a short stage was planned. Today's drive was along the Aegean coast in good weather, there are worse things. One could see from the cleanliness of the towns and the houses that the region is relatively prosperous compared to Turkish standards. Outside the season (and probably also due to Corona), many shops and restaurants were closed. At Akcay, I wanted to get off the main road and drive through the town, which was worth it, but the roads were naturally worse for that. Behind Burhaniye, there were a few tiny hills before I reached my next stage destination, Ayvalik.
A cute, old man greeted me at the entrance of my accommodation and let me know that I was the only guest and that it was not worth preparing breakfast for him. But there is a small discount, so everything is wonderful. In the summer, the city is certainly used to tourists, but in mid-January, there was hardly anything going on and I was curiously scrutinized. The picturesque harbor invited me to take a few more photos before the well-deserved dinner arrived.
