Day 22 - Whitewater rafting and onsen visit

Today we had breakfast in Arrowtown. At 1 I was dropped off at the NZ Rafting Station in Arthurs Point to go whitewater rafting. The tour was grades 3-5, went over the Shotover River and was 4 hours long (pure water time). Benji guided us beginners very confidently through the waves. It was tiring, but fun.

Grade 2-3 rafting is also offered by the same organization. You drive down the Kawarau River and pass directly by the place where the Argonath stood in the film. Technically speaking, we live in Gondor in Queenstown.

In the evening we went to the onsen. Everyone received a drink and a snack for free. The ambience was incredible, in the hour we booked it also slowly cleared up allowing us to see the stars.
