Day 15 - The Redwoods, Taupo Maori stone carvings and Huka Falls

Today we had a full day, we left early to go hiking in the Redwoods ((Whakarewarewa Forest in Rotorua). The redwoods were really impressive. There is also a treetop walk, but we didn't go.

At lunchtime we took a boat tour to the Maori stone carvings in the rock faces of Lake Taupo. From here you can see Mordor/Mount Doom, Mount Ngauruhoe, an active volcano on the North Island. Afterwards we drove to the Huka Falls to take photos. When we got back home it was already late.
