More about the dayAt 4:00 AM, we set off. Meeting point: 7 eleven. Destination: Alishan Railway Station. From there, we took the historic train to Zhushan Station. Then it was steeply uphill to the Mt. Ogasawara Viewing Lot. Sunrise: 06:35 AM.
To warm up, we had Oolong tea to go (which was also not found to be good) and then continued through the Alishan National Forest Recreation Area.
The scenery is enchantingly beautiful, what is unusual is that you always walk on solid or wooden paths and don’t feel the forest floor beneath your feet.
As for the permissible load capacity of the bridge, I assume that a different value is applied in Germany.
Afterward, we continued by bus and train to Kaohsiung. On the train, I chatted with an older couple who often vacation in
Germany for two months. They stay in an Airbnb and use the Germany Ticket.
