The journey from Jiji to Chiayi and a visit to Hinoki Village
The not-too-long continuation of the journey involved two transfers, particularly the first leg had to be completed by bus due to damage on the railway line.
The Taiwanese people are very nice and helpful (I would exclude the bus driver from this).
Upon arriving in Chiayi, I immediately (with the bus and the help of a new friend) headed to Hinoki Village. There, you can find Japanese wooden houses that house many craft shops.
