Greetings from Deck 2 – where the coffee is strong and the seas are calm

On October 11, 2025, we changed our berth to Le Havre, Quai Joannes Cuvert – and I must say: the gentle rocking of the ship is like a deluxe maritime lullaby. The first nights on board? Deep sleep at its finest. It feels as if you are living in a gigantic water hammock – soothing, until you realize that the journey from the cabin to the breakfast buffet feels as long as a half marathon. Step counter enthusiasts would be thrilled here!

Onboard, it’s a colorful mix of people – faces, characters, and dialects from all corners of the world. It takes a few days to match all the names and to remember who is ready to chat in the morning and who only becomes human after the third coffee.

Today, we set out for Honfleur in glorious weather – and what can I say: this place is simply beautiful and charming! A small town at the mouth of the Seine, directly opposite Le Havre. Honfleur is known for its picturesque half-timbered houses, the old harbor (so lovely that even Monet and Boudin felt their hearts flutter there), narrow cobblestone streets, and the constant scent of crêpes following you around.

Here, one doesn’t just stroll – one saunters with style. And while the seagulls screech, you briefly contemplate whether to just stay and open an artist's studio.

October 12, 2025 – tomorrow it’s time again: All hands on deck! The sea is calling – and the next adventure is already waiting. Hopefully, the rocking remains at relaxation level and doesn’t switch to roller coaster mode.
