Everyday life & review | Week 11 | 12/11-12/17/23

Not much happened this week and it was identical to last week. I worked from Monday to Saturday, went to the beach after work, and went volleyball and surfing on Sunday.

I'll use the free lines to draw a short conclusion after 2.5 months in Australia.
Time flies here. On the one hand it feels like I've been here for ages, on the other hand it feels like I've only been here for a short time.
Since I started in the Australian spring, the weather was mostly warm and good, with a few exceptions where it rained. The sun rises super early here at 4:45, which makes it very easy for me, as a late riser, to get up early.
The landscape of Australia is of course unique with all the beaches, forests and so many nice places.
The country is incredibly large, even if the distances look relatively small on maps. 9 hour drive and you are still in the same state. For comparison: it takes 10 hours from Konstanz to Kiel and you have crossed the whole of Germany.
The Australians are very nice and you are welcomed very hospitably as a foreigner here.
Unfortunately I haven't found any good beer here yet. The prices in the supermarket and the general cost of living are super high here. However, you earn significantly more. What I think is cool here is that the salary is paid weekly.
All in all, I really like life here and am looking forward to traveling to other newer areas.
