The day started with us not being able to reach the reception for check-out because the path was blocked by mating monkeys. However, once the male was occasionally pushed off his partner by a rival and she could run away a bit, the passage was finally clear and we reached our boat to the port on time.
There, we were awaited by our guide and driver for Bali. First, we went to the Buddha Monastery Brahmavihara Arama, the largest Buddhist temple in Bali. It was built in 1970 - with financial support from Thailand.
We walked through the different rooms of the temple, which are intended for meditation - and of course, we took off our shoes.
In the temple complex, we also saw a 'miniature version' of the Borobudur Temple in Java, which we visited during our Java tour.

Next, our travel program included the 'Hot Springs' Bajar, which turned out to be swimming pools with several basins. We decided not to take a bath, but we put our hand in the water and found that it was not as hot as we thought.
Instead of bathing in the springs, we were drawn to our hotel, which had an infinity pool that we wanted to test.
But since the hotel is located in the mountains, we had to overcome the difference in height first. Unfortunately, the partly very steep roads were too much for our slightly aging car, so the journey ended on the roadside. The smell of the unhappy clutch had accompanied us a bit during the trip before the car finally gave up.
So the tour guide called the hotel to request a car from there, while the driver searched for a workshop and we headed to the next "Warung" for a lunch break. There, we enjoyed a nice view while waiting for the new car, eating "Mie Goreng".

After lunch, the car arrived, but the car with our luggage was missing. The tour guide quickly clarified this - the car was already at the workshop. So we picked up our suitcases and then drove to the hotel. There, we recovered from the adventurous ride in the infinity pool with a beautiful view.
