What nice thing are we going to do today?

That was our question yesterday: we have to get back to Tuscany somehow, that's for sure. But we didn't really feel like going to a big city again.

So we searched a bit and found a winery near Imola. Wrote an email and said everything was fine, we can come. According to the sat nav it was only 150km away but a three hour drive, oh how beautiful it will be. And that's exactly how it was. Small mini narrow roads that go on forever. And the Italian cars and lorry drivers too, it was really wonderful. Several lorry drivers honked at us or they just cut in front of us. On the way to Imola it occurred to me that we could give Imola a quick visit. So off into town we looked for a parking space and we were ready. We could hear the race track from not too far away. After our first ice cream in Italy we walked towards the Motodromo. Unfortunately we could only hear it and couldn't see anything else. A few Porsches were doing laps.

Back through the old town, which seems sleepy, we went back to the motorhome and there was our problem: our ticket for the parking lot was broken. After a few sweaty minutes we finally managed to get hold of someone and they helped us, but in absolutely broken English. In the end, the parking lot was free for us.

Then we went to Dozza, a small town not far from Imola, where we parked at a winery. Marco is very nice (maybe that's because of the name? I'm asking for a friend) and gave us a friendly welcome. The four of us are standing here today in absolute peace and quiet. We're going to enjoy the delicious white wine today after we had a great meal in the small village.

Oh, by the way, today it was 31 degrees and sunny all day.
