The advantage of sleeping in a tent: you are very close to nature. The disadvantage of sleeping in a tent: you are very close to nature! 😅
The night in the tent was very stormy. The tent walls shook, the roof shook, the metal poles (to which the tent was attached) shook and the bed occasionally shook too. I lay awake half the night wondering whether the tent would be able to withstand the storm and what I would do if not...😳
The storm finally calmed down around 4 a.m. The sun rises here around 5 a.m. and of course the birds thought that they had to wake up now too. And Australian birds are never quiet - they make a lot of noise! So the birds became active, flew onto my roof, trampled loudly across the roof of my tent and made a noise... That was really a night...
So I spent the morning sleeping and had to catch up on something...
I then drove to Noosa Heads for lunch. I saw a lagoon viewpoint on the map and I really wanted to go there.
Since everything in Australia seems to be done by car, there are free parking spaces everywhere and I use one in Noosa to walk to the viewpoint. Of course it was on top of a mountain. But at the top I was rewarded with a great view of the lagoon city and beautiful blue water.
Not only do kangaroos live at the campsite, monitor lizards are also at home there and on the way to the site I saw an echidna. Unfortunately I couldn't take a photo of him...
