Jörgi's Birthday Week

We always stay near the coast whenever possible, travel to Conway. Small ferries are part of it, sometimes more, sometimes fewer tourists. You can tell it's peak vacation time. We also find a nice spot in Sandy Cove. The weather is sometimes tropical, but we still go on our hike to Balance Rock. Always downhill (uphill afterwards!). At first glance, Balance Rock reminds you of the Lange Anna on Heligoland, standing there so impressively and 200 million years old.

Now it's time, we cross over to St. John. The ferry takes about 2 hours and the weather could be better, but the crossing to New Brunswick was worth it. We are standing right by the tidal waterfall where huge whirlpools form in the river when the river and the sea meet during high and low tides. Here in a small pub, Jörgi has discovered seafood soup for himself (Jörgi usually doesn't like soup). St. John itself has a great market hall and an artistic container valley, but otherwise it's not very inviting for a stroll. We finally got batteries for MANNI too.

In the Fundy National Park, we found a cozy campsite in a clearing in the woods with a campfire pit and all the trimmings. Nice people again, proud to speak a few words of German. We can also do laundry here. When Freddy finally has time for us (we have to leave the site at 11am), we continue to Wolfe Beach. Have you ever walked on the seabed? We tried it out once. Here, you have the largest tide in the world (16 meters).

An incredible feeling when you later see the rock formations in the water where you were just walking before. We always find romantic places again and again through Park4Night, even if we sometimes have to use the chainsaw to reach them. After all, you don't carry things for nothing.

While I'm writing, it's raining...well...this place has something to it too. Yesterday we actually drove 400km east and found this place by the sea in Invenness in the evening. There are also some nice people here and you get to know each other by cracking the car of a fellow traveler in 3 languages because he unfortunately left his key inside 😎Hurra works in all languages.
