You should know that I love driving – a lot. However, the conditions in Germany are somewhat different. There are streets there that are wide enough for two cars, have a median and, above all, that don't consist entirely of hairpin curves with a 40% gradient :D
Admittedly, this isn't the case everywhere here, but as soon as you drive a little into the mountains (aka on every hike), you'll quickly be confronted with these problems. And even though I don't like to conform to clichés, when it comes to "driving uphill," I'm a stereotypical girl.
Nevertheless, today I bravely sneaked into a car rental company, signed a contract and pretended that I understood it. And off I went into battle with my fighting vehicle: a Renault Clio.
I don't know who was more scared, me or the car, but together we headed west to go to Cap Noir . At first everything was very relaxed because we only went straight on the expressway (fast hahaha, top speed 110km/h). But after about 30 minutes, these curves were on the navigation system for 15km:
But I was brave and even found a little fun racing up the mountain in first and second gear. And I proved to myself what I actually already knew: I'm not a bad driver at all!
Nevertheless, I was glad that the upcoming hike only lasted about 90 minutes, because I was still done. And you have to go down again, willy-nilly :D
Even though some of it consisted of sections that were certainly not TÜV-certified (and was actually forbidden), the hike was really beautiful.
The view was amazing, I saw two hedgehogs and even a mother bird feeding her young *-* How cute!!
Today brought back two "old" passions for me: driving a car and hiking alone :)
