Tag 174 - Sairee Beach & Tanote Bay

Hello everyone,

Today we all met in front of Kevin's and my bungalow. Kevin and I quickly jumped into the water with the diving masks, we really wanted to see the turtles and sharks. But after a short time we realized that it was pointless. The visibility underwater was still very poor due to the rough sea of the past few days. Hopefully we will have better luck tomorrow!

Afterwards, we drove to "Sairee Beach" where we had a small meal. We took a quick dip in the water to cool off, relax a bit and take a stroll - and then we continued. Roman had read about a beach that we wanted to check out. Already at the signpost it said "Rock jumping", which sounded very interesting. When we arrived at the beach, it caught our attention immediately: a huge rock in the middle of the water! About halfway up there was a chain with a rope as an aid for climbing. We watched two boys climb up, and then I just had to try it too! There was a tricky spot that I managed to overcome with the support of another climber :).

Once I reached the rope, it was relatively easy. And once I reached the top... What an amazing feeling! The adrenaline was rushing through my veins and the only thought I had was that I did it... It was really cool! Afterwards came the reward: jumping off! It was really a lot of fun!

The other three decided to be sensible and not take the risk of falling. Probably wiser... :)

The rest of the afternoon, we were just goofing around on the beach, sunbathing with oil and snorkeling. Another great day! On the way back, we stopped at one of our favorite bars and treated ourselves to a couple of drinks and some food.

Now we're all sitting together on the terrace, enjoying the end of the day.
