Today, Samuel slept unusually long, but we managed to leave the hotel much earlier. We took the Hop on Hop Off boat to Wat Arun. The Temple of Dawn was beautiful and reminded me a little of the Taj Mahal with its small tiles. Afterwards, I overcame all my fears for 5 brave minutes and we took a Tuk Tuk to the Flower Market. Because we spent too much time at Wat Arun and didn't make it to Wat Pho, but there are also big Buddhas on Koh Samui, so not a big deal. However, the market didn't really convince us, or I don't even know if we actually saw the right Flower Market. There were plenty of flowers anyway, but we didn't find them that exciting. Nature, Joe didn't find the flowers particularly exciting;-) So we simply walked back to Wat Pho in search of a taxi. We saw many dark alleys and had the impression of experiencing a little bit of the hinterland of Bangkok. We were still without a (city) plan and just let ourselves be carried away and immersed in the city. Samuel fell asleep and we took the opportunity to finally taste the first real small street food stall. It was delicious, but the food from the Asiatique Market on the first evening was still unbeatable. Back at the hotel, we treated ourselves to a little shower in the shopping center at our favorite waitress in the 24H coffee shop with a delicious yogurt fruit smoothie. Quickly packed afterwards and despite it being 02:00 in the morning, not tired and sleepless in Bangkok, I actually got stung by the first mosquitoes in the room. Tomorrow we're heading to Koh Samui in the early morning, we're looking forward to the peace and the sea.
